If you like ‘wrapping up’ cocoon style, a Turkish towel is for you.

Some prefer the weight of heavy, plush Turkish cotton. The term “Turkish towel” was coined to mean towels that have long naps and small uncut loops, with a 700-800 gram weight (per square meter), woven by artisans in Turkey. They’re thicker, heavier and more dense than other towels.

You can tell just by looking at the sheen that it’s soft as butter.

Others love the soft, silky ‘cashmere’ nature of bamboo, which is derived from the bamboo plant and considered ‘eco-friendly’ because it’s fast growing and is easily replenished. Most are woven with a combination of cotton for added strength.

Bamboo products are taking retail by storm because of the sharp increase of cotton prices worldwide (with no end in sight). They’re not as thick as other towels, but they do feel wonderful on the skin.
